Rising Phoenix

It occurs to me I’ve been living

In a past that has no future

And is only a memory

In my present.

So I consciously remove the symbols

Quietly closing the door to my past.

And with the phoenix as my guide

I rise from the ashes of my life and 
Search for my rebirth and renewal.
